Spinal curvature: Most scoliosis patients do not need surgery.  Severe cases require correction for berating issues or spinal cord compression.  Physical therapy is a good option to start.

Accepted Answer

Yes: There are no good research studies that prove a relationship between stress and psoriasis flares.  However both patients and psoriasis experts have noted that there is likely a connection.  Many of my patients have noticed psoriasis flares with increasing stress.  The flares only serve to add to their stress.  Stress reduction is always a good thing so in many ways it is a moot question.

Post trauma symptoms: Posttraumatic stress disorder (pstd) is the development of  chronic (over1 month duration) symptoms following a life-threatening trauma.The person re-experiences the trauma in nightmares, flashbacks etc.They avoid situations that recall the trauma. Emotions are numbed.When exposed to reminders of the trauma, they are too arroused, startled with angry outburts.Their families suffer as does work.

Possible PTSD or: Brief psychotic disorder with marked stressor, depending mainly on duration. Either diagnosis should be psychiatrically evaluated and treated.  Unless it is already fully resolved and you are just asking for intellectual curiosity.

Yes, it can be: Post traumatic stress disorder causes a huge amount of suffering and loss of function in children and adults.  It can lead to severe anxiety, insomnia, depression, and suicide.  It can stem from an almost infinite variety of frightening experiences.  Yet, it can be treated.

whats traumatic compartment syndrome?

High pressure: After trauma such as a broken bone the pressure in the "compartment" where the bone and muscle are contained can get very high because fluid and blood fill it. It can get so high as to cut off oxygen to the muscles and nerves which can die. It is an emergency that needs to be evaluated by a doctor for possible surgery to release the compartments. Failure to do so can cause loss of use of that limb.

Yes: A classic example is secondary ptsd the can develop with caregivers in a combat scenario.

PTSD: Ptsd is a type of anxiety disorder that can develop after seeing or experiencing a traumatic event that involved the threat of injury or death.  It can happen in all ages --after natural disasters such as floods, fires, and earthquakes, or other events such as rape, domestic violence, war, terrorism, or other assaults.  History of previous trauma may increase likelihood of ptsd after a new event.
