how long should you use towels for drying purposes? i have 4 towels and have been using them regularly for drying purposes for about 2 weeks before wash.  i don't have a towel rack so i lay them on a bed to dry.  am i doing the right thing?

Bath : Bath towels harbor skin cells and the bacteria that feed off of them.  Towels should be cleaned after 3 uses and should be hung unfolded to air dry.  A towel that is bunched, folded up or laid on a surface will stay damp much longer and bacteria will multiply.

Herpes : Herpes is not easy to catch. It has to be skin to skin or fluid to skin carrying the virus. It is not transmitted by towels, toilet seats etc.

Accepted Answer

: It's very unlikely for sperm to survive on a towel and then get up the vagina, through the cervical mucous and into the uterus. I did say unlikely ,though not impossible.  If extremely concerned about pregnancy, use Plan B. Consider beginning a reliable contraceptive.

if you tan with a towel over your face, does it fully block the sun from your face?

Accepted Answer

Tanning: Tanning with a towel over your face does not block all the sun's rays unless the towel is made of lead. A white or light colored towel will block enough of the suns rays to decrease your risk of burning or getting cancer on your face. Protect the rest of your body with a good high spf sunscreen and by not spending to much time in the sun.  Good luck.

i left towels outside on a rope to dry but it was raining in the night, are they still usable? or rewash?

Maybe: They won't dry very well if they have been left in the rain, but there is no reason you can't use them.

Ejaculatory orgasm?: Many women have ejaculatory orgasms - and the volume of fluid can range from drops to a quart! Can this happen without orgasm? Don't know. I would talk to your doctor about this; she may want to get a urine test to make sure something else isn't going on, like a bladder infection. Nope: Herpes is rarely if ever transmitted by indirect contact like this -- only by direct contact with an infected person's infected body part, like kissing and sexual contact.

Vaginal bleeding: Some vaginal bleeding is common in pregnancy. Common causes are from bleeding from the cervical os. The veins dilate and can bleed. Typically bleeding that is more concerning is associated with cramping.  However, let your ob/gyn know about the symptoms.

Possibly: but usually requires contact of syphilitic lesion or blood or semen.
