Sore: Tears in the abdominal muscle layers can be seen in trauma, sports injury, and due to post surgical hernias from weight gain or strain.  There will be a distinct area of soreness.  
Your surgeon   can evaluate your complaints with a manual exam and imaging. 
Skeletal ligaments are attached to bone, and not a concern in the stomach wall.

Can be hard to tell: The biceps muscle has 2 tendons, one that runs in the shoulder joint (proximal) and one that goes across the elbow joint(distal). Both muscle and tendon tears are painful initially.  Muscle tears hurt more in the middle of the arm. The tendon tears tendon to feel better faster, but strength and range of motion are limited. These injuries are best evaluated by a board certified orthopaedic surgeon.

Torn muscle: Healing depends on degree of trauma, type of muscle, location of joints, age, and degree of rest. Like wise so many variable. Some doesn't heal at all without surgical treatment.

Severe injury: What was repaired ,? If only the blood vessels  you need to be in the hands of an experienced knee surgeon who can monitor the treatment ,which will probably include additional surgery for the meniscus and ligament , to be followed by several months of rehabilatation.

: Prolonged swelling,redness&amp; warmth are worrisome signs and not characteristics of uncomplicated torn knee ligaments. Possibilities include phlebitis, hematoma with cellulitis as well as knee joint injuries.Consult a physician or orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible. In the meantime elevate the leg when sitting &amp; apply warm compresses until you're examined.

Different structures: A ligament attaches between bones, and produces stability. Examples are acls and ankle ligaments. So a ligament tear produces instability. A muscle pull is tearing of muscle or tendons (which attaches muscles to bones) and produces weakness. Tendons are often repaired (such as hand tendons and rotator cuff tendons) while ligaments are often reconstructed (such as acls and ankles).
