Unlikely: A negative pregnancy test is a very reliable indicator that you are not pregnant. If you have not had a period within a week you could consider a repeat test or see your doctor to be checked out further.

Yes: Depending on how long you have been on birth control pills i would say that you are absolutely fine. Especially since there was no sexual intercourse, also since you took the pregnancy test 16 days later this should give you a very clear answer as to if you are pregnant or not.

No problem: Just continuing taking your pills one each day for the rest of the pack.  Your period will come at the end of the pack and you still have effective contraception.

Probably yes: The effectiveness of  pills depends on consistent and correct use--which is usually defined as btwn 1-2 hrs early and 1-2 hrs late.  Even with a missed d, the pill is likely effective, but if the pill was at the beginning of a pack or the last hormonal pill before the sugar pills/placebos, it might make more difference.  To be sure, use back-up (condoms) for 7 d. Try setting the alarm on your cell.

i took the white pill for my birth control accidentally when i'm still on the pink pill. so i immediately took the pink one. what will that do?

Nothing: The placebo pills dont have hormones so as long as you took the active pills, you are protected.

Safety of BCP's: They are extremely safe and effective.  Missing one pill and taking it within 24hrs is the best procedure to follow.

It depends: This depends upon what type of oral contraceptive you are using now and what you are switching to.  I would contact your pcp or ob/gyn to clarify for you if the two types are compatible.
