my wife and i ate raw garlic in olive oil oil on fries last night and got sick vomiting and diarreha middle of night she's breastfeeding too botulism?

Accepted Answer

Not botulism: This is not botulism, likely some form of food poisoning.  and perhaps not due to the fries and raw garlic.  Unless the garlic was rotten. 
Botulism requires food being in an environment where there is oxygen.
If this goes on for the next day, then I would recommend you visit your doctor. or if you want you could have us order some simple labs.

i consume exactly 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil per day, and it is my only source of fat. would a total of 8 grams of saturated fat from just the olive oil be too much saturated fat per day?

10 grms is ok: No about 10 gms of saturated fat is ok per day and about 30 gms of polyunsaturated fat per day.

i consume a lot of olive oil on a daily basis, i know it is suppose to be good for you, but is it too much?

Good for you: Anything in xs is probably not that good. Xs would likely result in loose stools or diarrhea. Would reduce your intake if this occurs. By and large olive oil consumption is healthy & good for you.

i eat salad with white or dark balsamic vinegar and olive oil almost every day.  is this too much vinegar?

Accepted Answer

No: not really.  It can cause stomach upset in some peopke, there can also be some dental erosion.  There may be some interactions with some medications but you have to be consuming significant amounts of vinegar. I say enjoy it.

Don't recommend it.: The skin of the scrotum is robust enough for most lotions and oils, and should not be harmful. But i would advise against it as an overly moist environment can actually worsen hygeine of the male genitals. Keeping the area clean and dry is best for the scrotum, penile shaft skin, and foreskin.

i have a normal digestion system, i would go at least twice to the toilet, but few days ago it just got complicated,three days in a row i had no digestion and i drink one tbl spoon of olive oil and it helped but after that same problem...

Sounds confusing but: If asking about constipation, each person with constipation needs to be sure there is no other disease causing it. If constipation is just due to slow movement of the food and poop through the gut, then the things to try are vegetables, water, prune juice, prunes, fiber-with-water, polyethylene glycol, Senokot or other senna, milk of magnesia, other laxatives... A doctor can evaluate and help too.

Hmm?: Some people use garlic - olive oil mix for colds (I don't know if it is helpful) but I can't find any literature on use of olive oil (solo) for upper respiratory infections.

Oil massage: any oil is ok. The benefits are in the massage for the baby

Accepted Answer

Good for cooking: Heating olive oil is only hazardous if it catches fire or causes burns. Olive oil is basis of most italian and other mediterranean cooking and thought to contribute toward good health of those who consume it.
