Possible, not likely: You would need a pretty dextrous tongue to feel tonsiliths (tonsil stones).  Typically the stones are whitish to yellowish in color with a foul odor.  If this is a recurrent problem, tonsillectomy will prevent it from recurring.
If you have some other lump or growth in the mouth, get it check out, especially if it is changing, .

Tonsil : Tonsil stones form when debris builds up in the tonsillar crypts ("craters") or in a pocket that sits above some tonsils.  Rarely would someone need tonsils removed due to stones.  Some people get help from gargling with salt water to keep the bacteria count down in the throat.  A waterpik set on low can be used to squirt out the stones when they form.  The stones are harmless but can cause bad breath, bad taste in the mouth, and irritation.

Tonsil stones: These are not stones, but rather collections of tonsil crypt epithelial debris, secretions, bacteria. You can try to gargle them out with dilute salt water gargles. You can debride them out with a curette. You can have tonsillectomy.
