SCISSOR/CLIPPERS/RAZ: If the pubic hair is longer than1/4 inch use a scissor or clipper to trim and than get in the shower and let pubic area soak and apply shaving cream/gel to one side of your pubic area and shave short strokes and rinse the razor often.Use a mirror to shave the lower area go down to in between your legs
repeat the other side of pubic region and let warm water run and you are done.

You cannot.: Pubic hair is genetically programmed to be quite coarse. Conditioners cannot change the nature of the hairs, especially if trimmed. Thinning scissors are used by hair dressers & may help soften the overall texture. Waxing will allow regrowth with tapered ends; less coarse than clipped or shaved hairs. Otherwise, complete hair removal & shaving are the only way to really eliminate the problem.

Unknown: Pubic hair or the lack of pubic hair is mostly about asthetics.  There are some studies that try to conclude that pubic hair has a functiond during intercourse or that pubic hair holds phermones that attract partners, but i haven't found any that were reproducible (reliable).  

Keep your pubic area in the condition that you and your partner like.  Be careful with removal methods & infections.
