Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone): I like to use non steroid drops in the eye. I like the plan tobramycin drops. Call  the on call pediatrician to get a prescription. Use one to two drops i each eye three times a day. The eye does not have to be open for the drops to get in. Just put the drop in the middle corner or the eye and when the child opens the eye, it will go in no problem. Good luck.

In a 2 month-old, doctor can examine now to get a diagnosis. In older babies, symptoms may go away in a few days or up to a week or so. Pediatrician often will check a child if symptoms haven't gone away in a week, or if there are other symptoms such as fever or pain.

Depends on situation: This is common in newborns &amp; given some time and growth the blockage can clear on its own as the duct becomes larger.If still blocked at 6m &amp; unresponsive to simple measures, an ophthalmologist may need to probe the duct &amp; clear the blockage. One simple measure involves rolling the tip of the finger over the inner corner of the eye over the tear sac which may push any blockage down the duct.
