A member asked:

Can i used tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) eye drops for my 3 days old baby who may have inflammation in eye. i am wondering how to use it (how many times and how many drops?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone): I like to use non steroid drops in the eye. I like the plan tobramycin drops. Call the on call pediatrician to get a prescription. Use one to two drops i each eye three times a day. The eye does not have to be open for the drops to get in. Just put the drop in the middle corner or the eye and when the child opens the eye, it will go in no problem. Good luck.
