Need testing: This is called claudication and it may mean a partial obstruction of the blood flow into the leg when walking. It will get worse if not treated. He needs to be checked soon. Worse condition can happen if the blood flow stops completely.

i have pain in my leg every night and can't sleep till 4-5am. even if i am sleepy or tired i still can't sleep?

Leg pain insomnia: One of the common causes of insomnia due to leg pain is restless leg syndrome. This can be caused by medications, be genetic, or due to medical conditions. If chronic - onset in childhood and no anemia - it is more likely rls. If recent onset, pursue a thorough medical evaluation.
Any unpleasant sensation in feet, calves, thighs, arms or neck that disallows initiation of sleep can be rls.

Sounds like another: cause. Perhaps you're not sleeping well at night because of restless legs or cramps in your legs, then needing to nap and then not being able to sleep well (a cycle which you may want to break). However, you may also have a virus or low iron level causing these symptoms. Please see your doctor to be sure.

Sleep disorder: You may be suffering from a sleep disorder. You could have sleep apnea, restless legs or periodic limb movement disorder.  If the amount of sleep that you are getting is only seven hours, even on a good night, another more likely cause is sleep deprivation.  Bottom line, you are not getting enough sleep or the quality of your sleep is not that great.  See your PCP or even a consult with a sleep dr

RLS: Restless leg syndrome impedes deep and refreshing sleep.  People with this problem commonly have daytime fatigue due to loss of sleep.  See a doctor and receive a diagnosis; then you can be given medication to forestall these symptoms.

Need evaluation: Could be lumbar disk disease, vascular disease, imbalance of electrolytes like potassium, magnesium or sodium, myositis from many causes.
