OTC: Over the counter dandruff shampoos can help.  They should be left on for several minutes prior to rinsing.  Head&shoulders, selsun, t-gel, t-sal, all work for some people.  There are several prescription topcials your doctor can prescribe too.

Define natural?: Dandruff could be a type of fungal infection for your skin on your scalp.  Dandruff shampoo or antifungal scalp creams can help.  Not sure what you mean by "natural".

Shampoo: Dandruff is a scaling, itchy rash involving skin with abundant oil glands and hair.  The oil, dead skin cells, and a yeast form a biofilm that appears as large flakes.  Using an antibiotic shampoo (selenium sulfide, zinc pyrite ions, tar), will break up the biofilm and reduce the yeast colonies.

Anti-dandruff 'poos: Dandruff is associated with malassezia fungus infection.
Buy over-the-counter dandruff shampoos, and look for one that contains zinc pyrithione, which can reduce the fungus; selenium sulfide, which can limit cell turnover and decrease the amount of fungus; salicylic acid, which works as a sort of scrub to slough off dead skin; or ketoconazole, which works against a broad array of fungi.

Shampoo: Anti dandruff shampoo with antifungal action like ketoconazole or selenium sulfide. If it is severe and not responding to treatment, it might not be dandruff. Eczema and psoriasis are among the possibilities.

Farewell to dandruff: Dandruff comes and goes. Hopefully there are some things you can do to keep it away for a longer time. You can use tea tree oil shampoo or over the counter ketoconazole shampoo. If this doesn't work, you can use stronger prescription ketoconazole shampoo 3 times a week as well as steroid lotion. Good luck.

Dandruff: Selenium, tar based or zinc based shampoos are usually helpful.  Lather the hair, rinse, lather again and leave lathered while you take the rest of your shower.  Rinse at the end.  Use daily until symptoms subside then 3-4 times weekly.

Sometimes you cant: But wash your hair with tea tree oil shampoos. Have a healthy diet- no sodas, processed foods. Stop dairy. Eat more fresh fruits and veggies. See if that helps some. Head and shoulders and selsun blue shampoos can also be useful...I refer less chemical products.

Most important: Make sure this is dandruff and not a fungal condition.  If the condition is bad enough to cause hair loss, you need to see a doc.

It is very treatable: Dandruff shampoos actually work quite well if picking the right one and that the problem is truly dandruff-- excessive shedding of dead skin cells on scalp caused by a scalp-specific fungus, malassezia globosa. If otc trials of several shampoos such as selsun blue or head n shoulder w/o success, consult doc for eval--possible causes such as psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis/eczema etc... Good luck.
