Definitely: Both Navane (thiothixene) and Trileptal can make you feel tired or less motivated. But they are also both important "brain stabilizers" (for mood, thought and seizures), and stopping these meds suddenly can make things much worse. Work closely with your doctor to make any gradual adjustments in doses or medications if this "lazy" feeling is stopping you from doing the things you want to do in your life.

Accepted Answer

No: Thiothixene is an older (introduced in the '60s) antipsychotic medication used for the treatment of schizophrenia. It does not have any euphoric properties. Some people will abuse anything, though, and because this medication can be sedating, there's probably someone out there who's abused it. It is not a controlled medication, and i've never even heard of a patient "drug seeking" an antipsychotic.

Skin photosensitive: Navane (thiothixene) can increase skin sensitivity to ultraviolet light, so sun precautions should be taken when using this drug.  It is not particularly known for causing ocular light sensitivity.

Unsure: Rash can occur with Thiothixene and with Wellbutrin  XL.  Combining these two medications can lower seizure threshold. I have usually stopped use of wellbutrin if this type of rash occurs and wellbutrin appears to be the culprit.

No: We can only prescribe to those who see us, and we know who they are, know their allergies and are covered by insurances and we know would be sage to do so. Our system had a telemedicine, wherein, our own patients can go on the insurance computer for us and we can give them their medicine but not for consultation as this, too risky for you and for us, medico legally.

OTC lubricants: Most dry eye can be handled with over the counter (otc) lubricating drops.  Do not use the ones that say "gets the red out" as these are drying.  Plain eye ointment at night is also helpful.  For persistent eye dryness especially if the vision is impaired, see your ophthalmologist.

Valerian liquid?: I'm not sure if you are talking about valerian liquid. You can practically buy anything on the internet these days, including valerian liquid. I would be cautious about buying any form of medication (prescribed or herbal) online because you never know what you are truly getting.
