Vitreous: Thue are small changes in the vitreous, the fluid in the back of the eye. With age this fluid changes consistency becoming less thick or viscous. Unless you start seeing flashing lights this is nothing to worry about.

Floaters: Since they go away with blinking, the dots may be caused by dryness on the surface of your eye.  Allergy with tiny amounts of mucus can also cause that symptom.  Commonly, thin strands of connective tissue that run through the vitreous jelly in the back of your eye cause these symptoms, but in that situation the dots float away with change in direction of gaze, not so much with blinking.

: Fever per se does not affect vision. The cause of fever may affect vision. What you described suggest floaters, that are common. If there has been a change in floaters or if you have flashes of light, it would be prudent to consult a ophthalmologist.

If your vision is good, and there are no light flashes and you have not received something like a conk to the head, you are probably all right.
