what can cause tingling in my heel?

Nerve: Compression, or inflammation to the bottom of the heel such as with a heel spur or plantar fascitiis. Sometimes, nerve impingement in your back or at the level of the tarsal tunnel can cause similiar pain.

does a l5-s1 bulging disk fully heal over time? if it does, how long does it approximitly take to heal? there is a slight tingling in my heel.

No: Bulging discs never unbuge by themselves. It is possible that symptoms attributed to the bulging disc may resolve over a period of weeks to months. This happens when swelling is the primary cause of irritation of nerve roots causing sciatica. As swelling subsides the symptoms resolve. If the disc is herniated ( excessive bulging) and it causes  paralysis and severe pain; it often 
needs surgery.

i keep waking up with a tingling in my heels that goes away throughout the day. no diabetes. does this sound like s problem?

Tingling heels.: I would ask your Dr about how you sleep and discuss the type of shoes you are wearing during the day. You need to have a quick neurological exam of your feet including vibration, touch, temperature, position sense and DTRs. Your Dr can do this quickly. If OK then no worries.

i am only 16 and have no health conditions. i get an occasional tingling sensation in my heels. what could cause this? is it a concern?

Should not be concer: If you are in good health and have had medical check ups with your pediatrician, than there should not be a concern.But if it persists and gets worse get it checked.

i have had a rhythmic tingling in my right heel for 2 days now. i don't notice it as much when i'm walking around but notice it when resting/sitting?

Likely not serious: Don't know what this is, but you only notice it when you are not doing anything else to distract you.  Make sure you aren't wearing new tight shoes or having any weakness in the leg or foot and then try not to worry about it.  It will most likely go away.

i have intermittent tingling in my toes (bilateral) l heel, and l shoulder.  mri of spine was clear. all lab tests wnl (thyroid, b12, a1c, etc) ideas?

Local factors: Inflamed muscle or tendons leading to those extremities can still be intermittently compressing the nerve.  Sometimes it could be simply the way you are shifting or moving.  Knowing that the roots at the spine are clear is good.  Because the pain is intermittent, consider a local factor.  See if a stretch or massage makes a difference.

Possible neuropathy: Depending on the affected nerves, symptoms of diabetic neuropathy can range from a numbness and tingling sensation, possibly a burning sensation, to an uncomfortable painful sensation of the extremities.  Neuropathy may affect your digestive system, urinary tract, blood vessels and the heart. For some people, the symptoms are mild; for others, it can be painful and disabling.

: Symptoms are persistent and bothersome so your foot problem should be addressed. If podiatry service is available where you live, you should see a podiatrist; otherwise you can see an orthopedist.

Few possibilities: This may be a nerve impingement of the medial calcaneal nerve or it can be a tarsal tunnel syndrome. There may be a plantar fascial component or it may be coming from a more proximal cause like a radiculopathy from the back.
Depending on your foot structure, orthotics may be beneficial. Sometimes injection therapy may be helpful.

tingling in left heel when laying in a semi supine position. what could it be?

Could be many things: Is that the only time it hurts? What about when you arise from laying down? When your walking? It could be plantar fascitiis, tarsal tunnel or even a radiculopathy from your back. More info would be helpful....
