Herpes 1 &amp; 2: At the time of initial  Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 infection a person may have fever, weakness, sore throat, painful lesions (most often on lips, around mouth, gums, tongue, cheeks), swollen  &amp; /or painful lymph nodes in neck. There may be a gray coating on the tongue. A first exposure to herpes simplex II virus can cause fever, chills, headache, feeling generally ill and weakness of muscles.

Less than a week: Assuming you are referring to herpes zoster (shingles) the rashes on the skin usually appear in less than a week and mostly 2-3 days.

Herpes simplex: Can be early symptoms of herpes outbreak. When this subliminal pain occurs it is not always followed by full blown lesions.  It is not clear why different presentations occur in different individuals.

Not really: The symptoms of  genital herpes only occur with an outbreak which should only last 5-7 days and are usually associated with small blisters that ulcerated and crust over.

Testing: Testing for herpes would either involve a blood test or a culture of visible lesions/sores.  If you are sexually active and have not been using protection, it may be prudent to get std screening regardless of symptoms you may be experiencing right now.

: Nine days is too soon:  it takes several weeks for the HSV blood tests to become positive. So your positive result has nothing to do with your symptoms. Anyway, "pins &amp; needles" and on and off "tingling" are NOT herpes symptoms. Such symptoms can precede outbreaks of herpes blisters/sores, but by themselves are never due to herpes. Also, herpes blood tests aren't always reliable. Discuss w/ doctor

Herpes: Herpes when it  appears looks like a cluster of blisters, usually with a red or golden center. They are very painful. What you describe above is not likely to be herpes.

: Tingling is often a forerunner of a cold sore outbreak. An eruption may clear in a few days, a week or much longer. It's variable among different people but less than a week is much less common.

Possibly: Either herpes or shingles, which are caused by similar viruses, has a prodrome that usually has a burning or tingling sensation. It should be followed by blisters. If you have not already been diagnosed, you want to see your MD if blisters form so a test can be do e to see if it is either.
