Yes: Any "extremely tight" muscles will tend to pull the body out of normal alignment.  In a 42 year old males who know the term "adductors" is probably exercising and muscle building.   That makes me suspect that your training practices are inducing the problem.  Plan to spend more time stretching before and after exercise.  10-20 min.  Also strengthen the opposing abductors.  This should be fixable.

Possibly: Tight adductor &amp; other hip muscle imbalances can cause back and hamstring troubles.Tight adductors could inhibit the gluteus medius.The gluteus muscle does help to support the body when you are standing on 1 leg.Thus,it would be food to see a Physical therapist &amp; to consider incorporating a program of Core Pilates,after a thorough evaluation from a Sports Medicine MD as there are also other causes

Exercise: Exercise will loosen the muscles. You should start with light exercise, e.g., walking and gradually increase the time and intensity of exercise. It could be jogging, biking, swimming, playing any games you like.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

been having tight legs after sitting on a chair for a while. how do i prevent this?

Calf raises: It may be helpful to do calf raises while sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Simply pressing down on your toes and lifted your knee will allow the muscles in your leg to move and hopefully prevent them from being stiff later on.  I hope this helps.

No: Probably not.They are many possible causes for pfs and muscle imbalance is one of them as well as aligment of the extremities.Severe scoliosis that affect pelvic obliquiti and leg lenghts discrepancy could be a contributory factor but not a mild one.

Sciatica: This sound like a disc is pinching a nerve in the spine.  If there is any weakness or bowel/bladder changes, I would see your doctor for imaging of the lumbar spine

Unusual for your age: Your symptoms are quite unusual for a 17 year old patient. These symptoms suggest cardiovascular disease with narrowing of arteries supplying the lower extremities and heart, conditions which don't cause symptoms at 17 years of age. Severe obesity could cause symptoms like this without cardiovascular disease. You need to see your physician as soon as possible for a careful evaluation.

Muscle Pain: If there was no trauma like hitting your leg against the wall etc.Then it is pain in muscles after over use.It is common in people who do not do exercises routinely including swimming&amp; your muscles are not used to it.With any kind of Physical Exercise you need to condition yourself.Starting small and gradually increasing the activity
I suggest you rest your leg and take Ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen) for Pain
