i have had severe pain in right jaw and inner ear for about two months. i am in so much pain that i am in tears. what is wrong with me?

Have it evaluated : There are many causes for the pain.  It can be related to your teeth, mostly your wisdom teeth. Other teeth, usually the back teeth, can cause the same pain.  There are other causes that is not related to the teeth that can cause the same type of problem. Appropriate referral can be made once your dentist rule out dental causes.

Ear pain: Most likely TMJ. Stay on soft foods for 3-5 days, no gum chewing, hard candies, grinding. take ibuprofen. May need night guard made by dentist.

TMJ: It sounds like your tmj.  It. Could mean that  the joint has a dislocated disk, a  rough fossa,  or the joint could be arthritic (very unlikely).  Anyway i would tell you that if it bothers you enough go see your dentist or an oral surgeon.

i recently woke up with an inner ear ache. and my jaw is sore. with a headache. what could be the cause?

Ear/jaw joint/teeth: I don't believe what i call the inner ear has any pain fibers; but the middle ear & ear drum is wired to the same nerves that supply the jaw & teeth. Pressure on / in the ear drum from infection, jaw or jaw joint & dental pain may all give pain thar radiates to the ear on the same side. If it is simple jaw joint pain (biting a popcorn kernal wrong) Ibuprofen might help but an exam might be needed.

Ear infection: Your husband most likely has an infection of the ear canal.  He needs to have it examined by a doctor as soon as possible.

Tmj : Tmj can do it all, even make you a little dizzy. If you have true vertigo- feeling of spinning or motion with stereotypic head motions then vertigo is more likely.

U need to see ENT: Sorry to hear, pls consult an ear and nose trout (ENT) doctor.  You may need treatment it could be viral, bacterial infection or it could be inflammation.  Good luck
