does my 5yr old daughter have a tic. when excited she will open her mouth and shake her hands. no sound no nothing and she doesn't even notice.

Do not think tic: This does not sound like a tic- it is situational, and multiple movements occur, affecting the face and the hands, and it is appropriate.  I bet other kids she knows do this too- it sounds like a learned behavior.  No worries!

Probably not: When we're sleep deprived, small muscle ticks and fasciculations are normal. Often around the eyes or the neck. Being sleep deprived can make one "quirky". However, sleep deprivation can also bring out latent seizure disorders, so if it's more than just a few "muscle twitches" then see your doc for a check.

I suggest you please go seee you doctor if this a sudden onset.

No: To have a concussion you have to have an impact.  Unless you are having violent head tics against a hard surface.

No: Motor tics are considered a sign of electrical short circuiting of neural impulses.By themselves they produce no damage but may reflect some injury or abnormal nerve pathways further up in the system.

since one month i have involontary  lip trembeling or tic. i thougt it will stop but didn't. i don 't know the reason .is that serious?
