Generally no: No.  However it is still a bad idea to stand outside during a lightning storm.

Atrial fibrillation: What kind of antibiotics you are taking? A little-known fact is macrolides (clarithromycin and Erythromycin and azithromycin) can increase the risk for serious irregular heart rhythms and sudden cardiac death. In the nejm study, researchers analyzed data from more than 500, 000 medicaid patients.  Patients who took Azithromycin and levoquin were at risk. Consult your physician.

It's : It's most likely the end of a stitch that was put in under the skin.  Keep it clean and get back in to see your doctor as soon as you can.  You could also put some neosporin or other triple antibiotic gel on it and cover it with a bandage until you see your doctor.

Back to normal: After a pacemaker, you can do pretty much most things.  It also depends if you have any other heart problems and how healthy you are otherwise.

Talk with your dr: Perhaps you can discuss it with your doctor and make some financial arrangements -- and get the pacemaker.

Pacemaker change: When a pacemaker or defibrillation generator device is changed, typically light sedation is used for comfort, and topical anesthesia is used in the skin above the pocket (like Lidocaine such as used for stitches and dental work).
  As long as the pacemaker/defibrillator wires (leads) can still be used for the new one, a generator change is much quicker than the original implantation.

Migrains: With this type of severe migraine, it would be good for you to see a migranin specialist, usually a neurologist.

i am on flecaidine and diltiazem.  had an ablation for reentrant atrail tachycaria.  would a pacemaker to next if the ablation  didn't work?

Pacemaker: A pacemaker isn't really preventive therapy for atrial tachycardia. There is a function called antitachycardia pacing which can sometimes convert an atrial tachycardia back to sinus rhythm and is available in some pacers. This question is best discussed with your electrophysiologist.

It uses the same lead(s) to deliver a small electrical impulse to the heart to make it contract if the heart isn't going as fast as the device was programmed to maintain.
