if you have been diagnosis with thrush, will the mouth ulcer and burning pain go away when thrush is treated?left untreated will it get worse? ulcer hurts.

Oral thrush: can sometimes spread to the roof of the mouth and the back of the throat. In many cases oral thrush does not cause any serious problem. The physician can diagnose oral thrush by looking into your mouth and taking history of present illness. Prescription of the anti-thrush drugs will solve the problem. If left untreated it will  get worse. Take care.

Probably will resolv: Depends on reason(s) for it. Probably will resolve. Simple treatment will accelerate clearance. Identification and modification of underlying predisposing condition is worthwhile. Diabetes? Exposure to antibiotic? Use of steroid?

See a doctor: How do you know it's not thrush?  But no way to know without an examination.  In the meantime, Tylenol (acetaminophen) for discomfort, soft foods, avoid anything acidic or spicy.  Popsicles for comfort.  But see a doctor.

Typically, no: Thrush is usually limited to the mouth and esophagus.  In severely immunocompromised people, infection with the yeast that causes thrush may spread anywhere in the body.

Yeast infection: Thrush, to be specific, is an oral infection with yeast. If you have a yeast infection (vulvovaginitis) there are several OTC preparations which may be effective. Contact your friendly pharmacist.

Get a prescription: it is not uncommon to experience a yeast infection as a complication of getting treated for a UTI with an antibiotic. It is easily treated with a short course of  antifungal medication. Don't suffer and wait for the end of the antibiotic course. Call your doctor - if they suspect a yeast infection, then you will get a prescription for it.
