: May be reflux, may be food intolerance -do you have it after eating other corn products or corn?  May be eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) an immune condition of the esophagus .  Could try omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor and see if helps( used in reflux and EoE. Follow up with  gastroenterology.

Likely indigestion: At your age this is likely pain from the area of the stomach entrance which is physically located just behind the heart to the left. It may be aggravated if you press over the area at the point where the left ribs end over the stomach. Stomach acid can roll backwards &amp; burn the area. Antacids like tums may help.

after eating air pop popcorn, i get sick. i get  an upset stomach. it gets very painful. it didn't use to be this way. could i now be allergic?

Maybe: It could be an allergy to corn or it could be an intolerance. Maybe it is an additive in the popcorn product you are using. Switch brands and see if it persists. If so, see an allergist.

i take prednisone 40mg daily for asthma flair up. i took my blood sugar 20-30 min after eating cookies and popcorn it was 208. should i worry?

Accepted Answer

High Blood Sugar: Worry is not a productive emotion.  But 208 is a very high blood sugar.   Prednisone definitely will cause elevations of blood sugar, but you need to be evaluated.   Having your height and weight would be useful also to estimate your diabetes risk.  I would eliminate all sweets  and recheck blood sugar.   Don't forget to use exercise to lower blood sugar when your breathing is better.

since just after eating last night(a korma)i have had what feels like popcorn stuck in the back of my mouth/throat.nothing helps.what can it be?

Cud b a minor injury: Some sharp ingredients in food cud injur the soft palate and back of throat while swallowing. It would feel like something is stuck there. But it should heal in 1-3 days. 
Other guess would be an allergic rxn to something in food. If no pain and just constricted feeling in the throat is there , you should be fine. Go for an exam if feelin persists.

after eating salty foods like chips or popcorn my lips,  tongue and throat swell up. sometimes hard to breath. what could i be allergic to? is it bad?

It May be Serious: You need to stop eating these foods and see an allergist for an evaluation. You may be very allergic to something, either the food itself or possibly a preservative. Any time you have swelling and difficulty breathing it could be very serious and if an allergy could lead to a potentially fatal reaction. You should have Benadryl (diphenhydramine) with you at all times and take it right away if you get swelling.

why was i throwing up after eating a cold cut sandwich from a convenience store? i did that about a month ago too, same sandwich,was it out of date and the sandwich spoiled? thinking of not buying it anymore so what causes that? nothing else does tha?

: The possibilities include that the sandwich was spoiled-perhaps not stored cold enough and bacteria grew on it. It could also be it was overly fatty and you are having difficulties with fatty foods (although other foods would likely bother you as well). In either case, not buying that sandwich anymore is a reasonable solution. And, monitor for a similar reaction to other foods in your diet.

Vomiting: Your child may have a cyclical vomiting syndrome the cause of which is unknown. Some people suspect that it may be a form of migraine. Treatment is usually with anti vomiting drugs.
