Please see doctor: I think the simple answer is a yes, 'but answer.  This sounds like a significant situation that must be fully studied. I am sure your pediatrician can help and even recommend a specialist for pediatric gastroenterology. Please do not just give your daughter stool softeners without a full evaluation and diagnosis of the underlying problem.

Have her evaluated: A good physical exam is needed to evaluate your grandchild's status. Close inspection of the mouth and throat and abdomen are essential. Historical facts to reveal include if her last stool was hard, pellet like or soft.  Retained stool can be still backing her colon up.

: If you are not having diarrhea, your symptoms are unlikely to be due to C diff. Try takin PeptoBismol and drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless. For nausea and vomiting you may take an over the counter anti-emetic, like dimenhydrinate.  If that does not help in a day or two, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Prob diet related: Flecks of white stuff are probably diet related. Sometimes some meds have casings that pass undigested. Parasites can be white-but generally if you can see them, they will be moving (worms). Entirely white stools can be seen after taking barium for a test, some meds, or with blockage to the flow of bile. That last one needs medical evaluation-potentially serious stuff there.

It suggests a probable bleed somewhere in the GI tract but this could be anywhere from your mouth with blood you are swallowing, to your stomach due to an ulcer, to an internal or external hemorrhoid. A physician will be able to examine your stool, and take a complete history to determine which tests and necessary to determine the cause of bleeding.
