Blood in feces. what does it mean?

See a physician: Blood in the stool is never normal. It suggests a probable bleed somewhere in the GI tract but this could be anywhere from your mouth with blood you are swallowing, to your stomach due to an ulcer, to an internal or external hemorrhoid. A physician will be able to examine your stool, and take a complete history to determine which tests and necessary to determine the cause of bleeding.

Maybe problem: This can be from something as simple as a hemorrhoid or rectal fissure, especially if you had pain before the blood. But it can be from something much more serious, including a polyp, or tumor, or an inflammatory condition of the bowel. Please see a doctor soon. This is especially needed if you are over 50, as the chance of something serious goes up then.
