Maybe: Missing a pill or throwing it up can cause breakthrough bleeding or spotting like you are having. But if you continue taking the pill then the period should still come on time.

Depends: The impact of a missed pill depends on which week of the pill pack has the missed pill.  General rule of thumb, use a second form of contraception for two weeks.

Check pregnancy test: First and foremost CHECK A PREGNANCY TEST. While you can't have a normal menstrual cycle if pregnant you can have vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy that can be mistaken for a period. This may be more common in women who have been on BCP's but not taking them correctly. There are of course other reasons for nausea.

Depends on the pill: Not a good idea to start the pill again after missing three. Check with your healthcare provider. The answer really depends on which pill you are on and where in the pack you missed the pills. The pill will not work if you miss three pills in a row.

LARCs are best: Long-acting-reversible contraceptives (or LARCs) are the most effective methods to prevent pregnancies and may be your best choice.  Consult a caring and knowledgeable Gyn about a subdermal implant or a copper IUD (not a hormonal IUD). Either one may be your best option...so try either one; this would be much better than "switching back to oral contraceptive pills".
