Options: An occasional off month is common and does not  indicate a problem. For continued irregular periods see your obgyn for an exam and testing. Depending on your age and fertility plans there are lots of treatment options. Birth control pills can regulate your cycle. Your doctor will do blood work for thyroid disease as well as polycystic ovarian syndrome. No need to keep repeating the preg tests.

Doubtful: Many things can cause your period to be late including stress.  With three negative test it is doubtful you are pregnant unless you performed those tests within a day or two of intercourse.  If the test was done after your period was due and you are still concerned then see your primary care provider for a blood test to alleviate your concerns.

No: If you had blood tests in succession and they are all negative, you are and never were pregnant.  Your abnormal bleeding is due to other factors which require a through investigation.

Missed Period: Pregnancy tests are usually accurate a week after missing a period.  Most likely you are not pregnant but missed your period for some other reason.  There are many reasons this can happen such as stress, dieting, exercise, thyroid problems, etc.    Rarely a home pregnancy test can miss a problem pregnancy such as an ectopic.    If you miss frequently, you should see an Ob/Gyn and find out why.

Get serum HCG levels: If Hch levels normal she is not pregnant.
 Lt sided pain to be investigated .ANy fevers N/V radiation of the pain.What makes it worse or better,taken any Medication for it? ever had it before.  Any constipation or urinary sx?
  What happened to one pregnancy...abortion,miscarriage .at what stage.
ON exam any guarding,rebound tenderness.
 Pelvic exam...any tenderness ,tubo-ovarian mass/
  Discharge

Hormonal imbalance: You may repeat the pregnancy test in 4-5 days if you do not get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
