i have the skyla iud and before that was on micronor (norethindrone). in2013 i was 88 lbs in 2014 i was 83 lbs. could weight loss be because of the hormone progestin?

No: There is no established relationship between progestins and weight changes, especially weight loss. There is anecdotal evidence that progestin "may" cause weight gain, so weight loss is virtually impossible. Hope this helps.

are there any progesterone based pills i can take to prevent forming more endometrial polyps? currently on 5mg norethindrone but reviews are horrible

Many options: Endometrial polyps are not very common in someone your age. If you are looking at birth control options you could consider a combination birth control pill or another brand of Progesterone only pills. Even better you could consider a Progesterone IUD such as Kyleena, Skyla or Mirena. You could also consider the Nexplanon implant.

Yes: At least in this country our progestin only contraceptives all have just the one progestin in the forms as you describe.

Both are progesterone like: Prometrium (micronized progesterone) is a bio identical progesterone, which means that it's chemical structure is similar to the Progesterone made in the human female body. Norethindrone on the other hand is a synthetic Progesterone called a progestogin.

Not enough: information. This is something you need to discuss with your doctor, including whether there is an indication to begin progesterone.

Progestins for b.c.: Any kind of low dose oral contraceptive will work as "emergency contraception", but this method is not certain to prevent pregnancy. If your period is late, obtain a serum HCG to make certain you are not pregnant.

my period is due in 7 days and i would like to delay it.  can i start bc, progesterone, brevicon, (ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone) depo shot?  i am not currently on any bc

Nothing effective: Assuming you are correct in your timing, the only thing that will delay your period is pregnancy. That is clearly not the solution you are looking for.  For future reference, you would need to start the pill, ideally, 2 months ahead of time and at least at the beginning of your cycle.

Not yet: I would recommend that you try to stick with the Micronor (norethindrone) or a few more weeks or even a month if you can.  Often it takes time for the body to adjust to Micronor (norethindrone).  If you switch now, it could lead to even longer irregularity

Pill types: You should only stop taking progesterone pills if they not working to your liking. If that is the case please see your doctor to have adjustments made to your med.
