Need evaluation: 2 weeks is not enough time for decision making, but you should expect to experience some degree of improvement by this time.  Heartburn or abdominal pain that does not respond to ppi therapy should be evaluated further for potentially more sinister (ulcer or malignancy as examples) or alternatively treated causes (H. pylori infection for example). Discuss your ongoing symptoms with your doctor.

Get rid of gas and you get rid of bubbling/burping and something else.  
I don't see that they mentioned cucumbers.  Avoid them of course!

Gastritis: I assume that the gastroenterologist prescribed a regimen for healing of the gastritis, but since symptoms are ongoing has he/she recommended a follow-up egd for evaluation and to determine whether gastritis is still the cause of these persistent symptoms? If there is no longer signs of gastritis perhaps you have lactose or gluten intolerance or gall bladder dysfunction. Discuss this with your MD

Food poisoning: seems likely if there is any diarrhea or vomiting.  Was the chicken refrigerated and then cooked through?  
Another possibility might be gall bladder if the chicken or other food was extremely greasy.  If pain keeps up and you are unable to drink fluids, you will need to be seen for a diagnosis and to prevent dehydration.  GOod luck!

Simplistically...: Movement of gut contents due to muscular activity of the GI tract is defined as "peristalsis." If your's is excessive, acutely increased, particularly noisy or bothersome so as to interfere with daily function then seek evaluation.  Inhibition of peristalsis slows the above gut process and in some cases can quiet the rumbling.

Gi &amp; Pain: You may have two things going on.  Please see your doctor to have your GI symptoms checked out.  The pain may be another matter but your doc will tell you.  Pain management w/the help of a clinical psychologist may be useful once you know what is going on.  Peace and good health.
