Yes: Early in puberty the cycles are dominated by estrogen which stimulates endometrial buildup. Egg release is not consistent in the first year, but is followed by progesterone formation that triggers the cycle when conception does not occur.If no egg release occurs, a longer interval is expected but a heavier cycle would eventually occur.Up to 90 days is noted between cycles in normal young women.

Not really : The paragard iud is hormone free. It works by creating a toxic environment for sperm preventing fertilization. Because it is hormone free it has no real effect on the endometrial lining. It does not thin it out like Mirena (levonorgestrel) but also does not thicken it either.

There are a couple: of ways to measure the thickness of the endometrial lining..by ultrasound or by endometrial biopsy. Most agree that a thickness of 1 cm or 10 mm is classified as "thickened." Especially in older women, a thickened endometrium may suggest cancer, but most often non-cancerous causes explain it: normal hormonal changes, obesity, diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome. Your Doctor will advise.

im taking red clover to thicken my endometrial lining, which has worked. now i've been prescribed clomid (clomiphene). can i take them together?

Review pathology: I would contact your obgyn and review the pathology report from the D and C to confirm that no abnormalities were seen. Then you can discuss the various options.

Discuss with doctor: This decision will need to be made by you and your doctor together. The sonogram should be reviewed to determine the thickness and appearance of the endometrial lining. If there are concerns that adequate sampling was not obtained by biopsy then direct visualization by Hysteroscopy may be warranted.

It means that: estrogen hormone is taken over your endometrial lining because of the anovulatory cycles. You may need a biopsy to rule out cancer.

More info: it depends on the reason for which you are taking the hormones and the doses.  You may never know the
reason why it is thickened, but because it is, you
need to investigate as you did.

No: In a young person this simply means a thickened lining (common in pcos).  The only way to diagnose hyperplasia is with an endometrial biopsy or D and C

i had a endometrial biopsy for thickening of the lining of my uterus. the results say this focal atypical complex hyperplasia suspicious for adenocarcinoma. i did another biopsy waiting on results because sample was small. what does this mean?

Atypical endometrium: Thickened endometrium may result in adenocarcinoma, and usually occurs b/c of sustained estrogen production without regular "periods". Most biopsies will be returned as "adenomatous hyperplasia", and not infrequently a hysterectomy is recommended, which in most cases is curative.
