i have a thickened endometrium and a 5cm ovarian simple cyst. i am 60 years old. ca125 and cea tests are ok. what would be my vest treatment options?

: It depends on the thickness and blood hormone levels. Generally over 8mm is considered abnormal and what needs to be done would depend on your Gyn who knows you best. An a symptomatic ovarion cyst can just be followed up periodically.

Fibroids: Most common cause of a bulky uterus is fibroid(s).  Pap is negative so that helps rule out cervical cancer.

what is treatment of chronic late proliferative endometrium?

Accepted Answer

None: It really depends on why you had the biopsy performed.  Late proliferative endometrium is a normal finding, it just tells us where you were in your menstrual cycle when the biopsy was performed.  It does mean that there is estrogen in your system, but otherwise it's not a condition.

This is a job for Dr: Your responsibility to yourself is to get to a good doctor or obgyn and cooperate in the diagnosis and treatment plan determined for this.  This is not a do-it-yourself problem for a home remedy. It might be helpful if you eat well, sleep well, get good exercise and avoid cell damaging activities. But see a pro as soon as possible. Not cancer yet: It may simply need to be followed, or you may be a candidate for biopsy, laser, excision. Be sure to keep in touch with your physician on this. Secretory endometrium is simply a phase that you go through each month. I'm glad you're staying proactive and health-conscious.

Palliative care only: With a widespread metastasis, it is unlikely chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery will be of much help.  Supportive care is likely the only option

Decrease androgens: I like for my patients to have a minimum of 7 mm endometrium thickness around ovulation, with a lining that is too thin  1 can add estrogen therapy or dexamethasone.  Also certain meds  or even a subclinical endometritis can be  associated with thin endometrium.  Unfortunately one would more information about your cycle meds etc to really answer your question.

Endometriosis: Although there is some variation in the sonographic appearance of endometriomas, the classic endometrioma is a homogenous, focal lesions with low level echogenic. They may be uni or multilocular, contain thin or thick septations and may contain wall nodules (a finding also found in ovarian neoplasms). If these mural nodules are hyperechoic, or thickened lining.

endometrium 14mm thickened, mixed&echogenic, what does this mean?

Depends on pt age: In a menstruating female this is likely normal though a 6 week f/u ultrasound should be obtained.  However, in a post-menopausal female, this is abnormal regardless if they are on HRT or not and GYN consultation would be recommended.
