every 2/3 weeks i have thick mucous in and around my stool. it's sticky, quite thick, and has the consistency of rubber cement. what is it?

Human Glue Factory: Mucus in the stool is a normal lubricant for passage and ejection but grossly visible amounts indicate some form of irritation or inflammation, unless this is just a normal variance for you. The serious causes are usually accompanied by some pain or cramps and maybe some blood. The consistency of the mucus has a lot to do with hydration. Do you take enough fluids?? See someone about this problem.

Baby poop: Dark green thick and sticky sounds like normal baby stool.  White chalky stool by itself is Never normal in a baby and can be a sign of a bowel blockage.  How is he  acting? Feeding well? Is he cranky or in any pain? How does his tummy look? Like its usual? Or is it swiollen?  If he is eating well and in no pain, I&#x27;d see how the next stool looks.  If there is any white in it, bring him 4 visit

Stool...: Children can have many types of stool issues. Color can vary but white and red are worrisome. Constipation is commin and kids should receive daily fiber and be well hydrated. Have you spoken to the child's parents about it? Hope they do well.

How?: Why did you use the suppository? If it is for constipation, there are better ways and a healthy child is not constipated. Consider the child's diet. I suspect that "junk" is part of it.

Diet and exercise: An old computer term, "garbage in, garbage out" sort of applies. Much of the modern U.S. Diet tends to cause constipation: fried foods, cheese, white breads & pastas, white rice, red meats, sweets, bananas, excess milk, & more. Avoid or limit these foods. Instead, use fresh veggies, fruits, white meats, lots of water, whole grain cereals/breads/pastas, brown rice. Exercise/activity helps, too.
