Ingrown nail: Possibly.  If there is tenderness on the side of the nail, and the skin on that side is thickening, the most likely cause is an ingrown toenail.  I would see your Dr or a podiatrist to be sure, because they can become very painful if infected!  Good luck!  (Sometimes soaking the foot in warm Epson saltwater helps!)

Need a more info: Your symptoms are too vague to determine what could be wrong.  I would suggest seeing a specialist so that a proper examination may be conducted.  Although you have mentioned many issues that you are not experiencing, there are still several causes that could result in dorsal foot pain while walking.

If you are diabetic, have poor circulation or there is a very deep/complicated/badly infected wound, you may need to see a podiatrist or general surgeon, but even then primary or urgent care can get you started.
