: It can be normal, to see this occasionally.  If persistent, or you are worried, and exam with your doctor is an appropriate step.

Usually bloody : discharge, with uterine polyps, mucous could be from endocervical/cervical polyps.

Sputum....: Sputum is what is coughed up from the airways. If the sputum is discolored, like green, yellow, red, etc., it may mean you have acute bronchitis, an infection of the airways. If so, see your doctor so it can be diagnosed and treated. If you smoke, you need to quit to decrease airway inflammation and your doctor can help with this as well.

Dehydration: Can lead to thicker secretions.  Also infection among other things.  Drink lots of water.  And if symptoms continue see your doctor

Sounds okay.: Thick mucous discharge is not unusual during pregnancy. If you start having any foul odor, different colors, pain or fever you should contact your OB.
