Several causes: Bacterial vaginosis and yeast are the two most common vaginal infections. Both can look yellow. Sexually transmitted diseases like trichomoniasis, chlamydia and gonorrhea are also possibilities. Some postmenopausal women have some discharge from vaginal atrophy. Urinary incontinence is also common and can appear to be discharge. Yellow discharge is not normal and needs to be evaluated.

Go see ur pcp : Postmenopausal bleeding or spotting is not normal and should be evaluated  it is not an emergency so I would not recommend going to an urgent care center or ER. See your PCP or someone with expertise in Gyn and assessment of postmenopausal spotting or discharge.

Brown d/c: Would follow up w/ gyn.  There are menstrual abnormalities with  menopause but  any abnormal vaginal discharge especially bloody needs investigation for polyps , fibroids or other abnormal masses in the uterus vs infection, incomplete miscarriage. .

Get tested: Yeast infections &amp; bacterial vaginosis are nonsexually transmitted vaginal infections which are common in pregnancy. If you are having vaginal discharge you should should be tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia &amp;  trichomoniasis. Some women will have excess vaginal discharge without having an infection from the hormonal changes of pregnancy.

Depends: Discharge after menopause should be evaluated.  Thick mucus discharge could be a yeast infection, bacterial infection, or signs that you have cervical inflammation.  Have it checked out.
