i have a bite on my abdomen that looks like a mosquito bite and it really hurts, its red, swollen and the redness around the bite is about the size of a quarter. is it normal for it to be really painful?

No: A bug bite is usually ok if it looks like a typical small (1/4 to 1 inch wide) mosquito or flea bite.  If there is a lot of swelling, a doctor should check to see if it is just an allergic reaction or is actually infected.  If the bite area has stuff oozing out of it, or if the area is painful, one should see a doctor to examine for infection. Mosquito bites are usually not that painful.

See doctor.: Circular red rashes can be several different things, from ringworm to nummular eczema, to something more serious like the bullseye rash of Lyme disease. Need to be seen to get more history and an exam for accurate diagnosis.

i found a tic well imbeded into my abdomen this a.m. the area is red, swollen and has a dark ring around it. i was unable to extract the whole tic and part of it is still in there. should i start on  antibiotics ?

Call your doctor : You should consult with your physician or scheudle a video visit. Often antibiotics are prescribed to prevent lyme and other tick borne diseases.

Derm eval.: These lesions need to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.

i drank cranberry juice for the first time 4 days ago,2 days after  i had a patch of hives appear on my abdomen that are itchy,red and painful.help!

Hives: Very unlikely it was due to the cranberry juice because of the timing of the reaction and the fact that you had never had it before.  This is likely due to a contact reaction to something that made contact with your skin.  Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other OTC antihistamines should help.

recc. rash on right side of abdomen every few months. size of small fist. itchy red and slightly bumpy. nearly always same spot size and shape.stays for 2-3 weeks.thought reaction to gf's rings. but shirt seam caused this one? worried about hiv rash?

Need dermatology: To clarify this rash you need to see a dermatologist. Then we can know what type of rash it is. I doubt it HIV but you can get HIV testing to see if you have that. We need to look for other causes of this rash. He dermatologist is able to evaluate the rash.
