i have been suffering from constipation  for a while now. i eat plenty fruit  & fibre but still need to use laxatives to go. what else can i do?

Depends: On what you mean. Long intervals? Passing "bullets"?  Try getting rid of sugar if that is part of your diet. If it is "bullets" try a tablespoon of mineral oil bedtime or earlier. Laxatives sometimes aggravate the situation even though they work. Drink lots of pure water.

i've had constipation bad recently i have the need to go but cant i've had laxatives yesterday and could go yesterday but problem again today i've tried fruit should i see a doctors i'm very worried about this?

Constipation.: Would recommend a good healthy life style to minimize constipation. Increase fibers in diet with fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Increase water intake, decrease caffeine, alcohol. Increase exercise and sleep well. If it still persists, will need to see a physician to look for other pathologic causes.

Prune juice: It's old and not very sexy, but it often works.I also suggest more exercise.

constipation from 2020. got anal fissure in january due to this. fissure took 6 months to heal. eat high fiber diet, fruits, no fast food, and take laxatives daily for soft stool. no symptoms at all but i'm always worried, should iget a colonoscopy?

: If you take stool softener daily but not laxative daily to have good bowel movement, you are okay. If you have to take laxative daily, you have to wean yourself off that and continue to good fluid intake, active lifestyle with exercise, eating foods with high fiber.  You should be fine if you no longer have constipation. Screening colonoscopy is not indicated.

i've been to the emergency room, had an enema, taken laxatives and now using movicol.

Good: Constipation is common.  Often it is resolved by drinking more fluids and eating fruits and vegetables.  Apples are particularly beneficial.

Various: Otc meds such as MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) is a good laxative which retains fluid within stool.  Best to find why constipation occurs, either functional i.E lack of fiber/water in diet or pathological.

Fruit/Vegetable: Almost all fruits and vegetables are good for you.  Bananas help with soothing the stomach and stopping diarrhea.  Pineapple and papaya help with the digestion of your food.  Eat fruit separately from your meals, because it is better digested this way.  People individually may have food allergies, but most people do not.  Remember to eat a variety of fruits/vegetables to get all you need.

More info needed: What is the degree of paralysis? Are there other medical problems such as diabetes? Hypertension? High cholesterol? What meds &amp;/or supplements do you take? Can U eat by yourself? Are U continent of urine &amp; stool? A doc who knows your case is the best one to answer your question, possibly with advice from a nutrition expert.
