i take thaden & zopiclone. cytochrome p450 inducers & inhibitors are a huge problem and my diet is limited. what can i do to improve drug metabolism?

I am not Dr Heston, : And in my opinion, that combination is very good as long as those medications work together to relieve the symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain. When the illness is severe enough, combining several agents is more effective, causes less side effects, although it can be more costly and cumbersome to maintain the treatment. No research yet: The plant Bacopa monnieri is widely use in India for the treatment of asthma, and anxiety. There is no research or evidence of its efficacy.
 You are taking 3 meds for mood disorder and insomnia. Vortiozetine might be for depression, lamotrigen to augment that effect and Trazodone for insomnia. Other natural product for anxiety and insomnia is called Valerian, but again, there is no evidence.

Dispensing errors po: ssible.  Sometimes the pharmacist, in error, dispenses the incorrect medicine.  In theory, the generic version of the medicine is supposed to have the same bioavailabilibility as the brand name.  The fact that that you don't feel anything argues that you probably have gotten the wrong drug or the wrong dose.  Go back to the same store with the medicine in the bottle that you got there.

Usually 2-3 weeks: When beginning an SSRI med like zoloft, (sertraline) it is not unusual to have some restlessness that may interfere with sleep, but this usually resolves after several weeks.  Some patients find that a PM dose causes less insomnia, but for now, I recommend being consistent in the AM. If you have more agitation, contact your doctor. Avoid caffeine and chocolate in your diet.  You may try Melatonin for sleep.
