i'm on accutane.i'm so sad that i use tetracycline ointment 1% on lip.after 5 mins, i wiped it. it happens 1 time when taking accutane.is it dangerous?

No danger: There certainly was no reason to put this medication on your lips but i don't think there was any danger in doing so.

No: Although there was no reason to use this on your lips I do not think any damage was done given the minimal absorption.

Not serious at all: This is not even a minimal issue and no, you cannot get pseudotumor cerebri from tetracycline ointment even if you bathe in a tub of it.

Don't take both: As the name implies, these drugs are chemically very similar and they have exactly the same activity against various problems, including acne. There is never a reason to take both; it would just increase the chance of side effects (like stomach upset, sensitivity to sunburn) without improving your acne. Speak with the doctor(s) who prescribed them and/or taking care of your acne.

i am 30 weeks pregnant and i used tetracycline eye ointment 1 % once on my eye lid. how is it dangerous for my baby? thanks

Not really: Tetracycline capsules for a normal course of treatment pose a risk of staining the teeth of a developing baby.  Applying to the eyelid, especially once only, has such a tiny amount of absorption to the circulation that there is really no risk at all.  Don't worry.

70% body covered in staph, on course of  tetracycline for 6wks. i don't care for that type of antibiotic. is there home remedies to care for the itch?

Try : Try lukewarm bleach bath for 10 minutes.  1/2 cup in full tub of water. Do 2 to 3 times a week.

Tetracycline: Not a good idea to take this medication indefinitely because you will get side affects of the antibiotic. Young people will get staining of the teeth, yeast infections of your body, allergic reactions from the medication, or drug resistant super infections.

Rosacea: There are so many options for acne rosacea. Depends on the mildness or severity. Tetracycline is an old antibiotics with more side effects as compared to new one. But yes, you can use tetracycline.
