would i know about testicle necrosis due to partial torsion(i suspect - there is discomfort, not pain) after one week? what symptoms of necrosis? thx

PAIN: I believe that if you had necrosis of the testicle you would have pain, fever and generalized illness.  If you have some mild discomfort and swelling on the back of the testicle it may be epididymitis.  If you have any lump on the testicle you must get this checked by your doctor.

Likely torsion undon: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health
First, it's hard to say it is torsion unless there is a very careful exam with ultrasound. Trauma/irritation cause intermittant pain without torsion and is more common. Then, torsion can subside. Necrosis takes considerable time to occur and much longer to subside.

Testis: Necrosis means death of the testicle. It eventually shrinks and essentially disappears. If you are concerned about fertility, necrosis of the testicle in the scrotum may lead to production of antibodies that may lead to infertility.

It probably will: not disappear completely, because there would be some scar left.  You probably did not have complete death either, so you might have some viable tissue left.

Not likely: Necrosis is not a chronic condition.  Atrophy might be more likely.  an examination by a urologist should clear up your concerns.

: Yes. Depends on how much Testosterone it makes and your body's response. If you now have pubic hair it is working well.

: It does not sound like a torsion. You need to see a Urologist for proper assessment ASAP. In the meantime wear a good scrotal  support. In many people the left testicle is lower normally . To the ER  if the pain is bad. Hope you feel better

: No problem. You have played around with this issue enough over the past weeks. You only need one for a normal life and it places no limitations on your activities in general. I would not take up bull riding as a sport/job or play sports without a cup when appropriate.

my left testicle is hard and bigger than the other. theres instances where the left one is hard, and the other sagging. theres no pain, just hardness and wondering what it could be? will the testicle need to be removed? will this go away?

: In all mature males, one testicle hangs lower than the other; no problem there. However, if the hardness and enlargement are quite definite, and especially if they are new, see a urologist for professional evaluation. Without pain or tenderness, infection (epididymitis) is unlikely, but a tumor or other mass (hydrocele?) are possible. Good luck.
