Inflammation: Anterior tendon tenosynovitis means you have an inflamed sheath or covering of a tendon that crosses the front of your ankle. A good quality MRI would confirm the dx. If the inflammation continues or you sustain an injury which stresses this tendon it could then rupture.Uncommon though; posterior tibial tendon rupture much more common.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, or a podiatrist.  A podiatrist may be able to help with use of orthotics.
