i have had peroneal tendinitis in my foot for a few years but hasnt been an issue. it has recently started to pop when i walk. what can i do?

Cold is better: For inflammation. for an acute tendinitis u would benefit from ice packs. Rest, elevate, and ice. If the tendinitis has been there for longer than a few days, u may want to alternate between hot and cold.

how severe is my personal tendinitis? its hurts to walk all the time, i cant pointe my foot, when i jump sometimes in pops and i feel pain into my lower calf, i cant put weight on my foot after walking or exercising, it also hurts to the touch?

Foot &amp; ankle pain: It sounds like you have tried many things to be helpful.  Maybe you have already done this, but a foot doctor is the type of doc you need to see to diagnose and offer options. Over used heel.: It sounds like you are describing a posterior calcaneal spur with associated Achilles tendinitis.  Stopping, or severely reducing, the pull of the Achilles tendon is the first line of treatment. Application of heat and/or cold will help, but the tendinitis inflammation must be reduced and off loading is the best way. Elevated heels on your shoes may help. An evaluation by a specialist is needed.

Sick Achilles.: Your comments sound like the findings of a previous x-ray exam. I'm not sure what is meant by "bump on the opposite side of the ankle". If it is in the Achilles tendon, then extreme pain, could make sense. It sounds as though there is something amiss with your Achilles tendon. It would make sense to immobilize the ankle, and begin non-weight bearing until tendon imaging studies can be performed

is there a difference in pain between a metatarsal stress fracture and tendinitis in the foot?

Not really: they can feel similar. A clinical exam helps best to determine one from the other as Xray does not always show stress fracture. Best to see a foot specialist
