See a doctor: You may have a virus or a low grade infection that needs antibiotics.  If after your doctor exams you and thinks it needs to be biopsied you can also be screened for any lymph node issues or even possible abscess. If you have had chronic sinusitis, pharyngitis or respiratory problems the doctor can help you resolve that as well.

Several Alternatives: There are several possibilities here ringing from simple to serious.  If this is getting worse, go see your dentist right away: don't delay.  If it's improving, you may be able to watch and wait for your next regular check-up.

Muscle or lymph node: This could be some muscle tension related to the TMJ problem in the Masseter muscle. Alternatively it may be a lymph node responding to some infection in the head region. Jaw click : It sounds like a problem with the TMJ joint (temporomandibular joint). These can be evaluated by dentists, oral surgeons or physical medicine doctors

Needs to be seen: Was there an accidentally injury to the inside of your mouth? Perhaps a blood clot or hematoma? Unfortunately we can't diagnose such things without actually being able to see it.  Set up an appointment with your dentist for an accurate diagnosis.

Infection: You need to see a dentist or a doctor today because this is probably an infection and you need to be on an antibiotic and possibly a tooth pulled. Though the antibiotic needs to come first. Ring your GP/dentist or go to the Urgent Care if you have one near you.
