Yes...and: Such a development will effect the kids regardless of the arrangement. Grades/sleep/behavior are all impacted for up to two years or more.Remember they have inherent loyalty to your wife &amp; any negative comments you make about her translates negatives against them.The less contempt you display towards your ex (&amp;her to you)the more likely all concerned will get through this as healthy as possible.

1st Parents and Doc: More is known about Asperger Syndrome today and more people, including educators, are familiar with this challenge.  I would always recommend speaking with your family and physician to be sure you are aware what to expect.  I think if everyone is in agreement, it is a good idea to communicate with teachers and school administrators who can be of great help to you in the school environment.

Tell someone: It doesn't have to be your teacher.  Maybe another teacher or a family member.  If one doesn't listen try another.  Tell your doc.  He/she may refer you to a mental health professional.  Peace and good health.
