Do not get tattoos.

Tattoo wound care: Your tattoo artist may have printed instructions for you. But, keeping the tattoo clean and dry for the first few days is often wise.

Then keeping the area clean as you normalize your activity. Some tattoo artists may recommend cream or gels to cover or protect the work while the skin heals from the trauma of having the tattoo placed on it.

Yes: It is safe to get tattoos.  You should ensure that the tattoo artist is using sterile technique and the facility is clean & reputable. This means the artist should wear gloves, clean your skin with alcohol, use a sterile new needle, new unused inks, and use sterile technique with sharp items & bleeding, if any. People get into trouble with reused needles & inks causing infections like hepatitis c.

Basic wound care: keep it clean
gentle wash warm water only
no scrubbing
use moisturizer like aquaphor or cetaphil a few times a day
keep it out of hot tube
keep out of the sun
if puss comes out or it gets hot red and painful go to your doctor it could be infected

Probably: As a plastic surgeon, I'm against tattoos in general but if you really must have one, I would make sure that you're antiseizure medication is on board, If anything like skin irritation has ever precipitated the seizure before. It might be sporting to mention your history to the tattoo artist although I doubt anything is likely to happen

Location?: I have a few patients who bought a spandex type sleeve and slip it on their arm to avoid sun exposure to their tattoos. 
Other than that water proof consealer make up may help
