In that case, it is prudent you let your surgeon no as they may think it is best until you get better from your cold. Hot Showers & Acne: The best is warm water, hot water does irritate your skin - it over dries it and may damage  capillaries in your skin which make for reddish and overly sensitive skin - which in turn breaks out more easily.

Exercise: There is nothing wrong with being active. You are fit and your body can manage. I would suggest that you do not stop. Make sure you eat healthy - lots of protein, and moderate amounts of carbohydrates and fat.

This is a side : Effect of accutane,  check the information your doctor gave you when you started the medicine. Dryness will cause the redness, also redness from sun happens easier on accutane.  There are some moisturizing creams that can be used to help this.

Lubricate: Accutane & retina are very similar. They both cause dry, red skin. Stop retina while on accutane. Use something for dry skin. Avoid scrubbing & harsh soaps.
