long story but was taking 2 10mg oxycodone and 600mg gabapentin..post surguries..i tested positive for benzodiazaprin...can gaba show up as benzo?

No: Although gaba doesn't show up as benzo, there are anesthesia meds for sedation (commonly used being midazolam) prior to being taken to the OR that may show up on urine as it is a benzodiazepine. Hope this helps!

i heard a good combonation therapy for trigenial neuralgia syndrome is gabapentin and oxycodone is that true? this personally worked for me

Could be: The key medication is the gabapentin.  This medication is more likely to address the nerve pain better than the oxycodone.  The drug of choice of trigeminal neuralgia is tegratol.  This is very similar to gabapentin.  Nucynta (tapentadol) may be a better choice than oxycodone given is mechanism of action.  Ultimately everyone may responded differently to the same treatment so that plan may need to be modified.

could mixing gabapentin, xanax, (alprazolam)zoloft,ketoralac,oxycodone, together cause death? my daughter was prescribed these and died the next morning.

Sorry for your loss: Only post mortem toxicology can answer this question for sure, but too much of any of these could be fatal, especially Xanax (alprazolam) and oxycodone as both can suppress breathing in high doses. If they were taken only as prescribed, it would be safe, but something added like alcohol could also be fatal.

i'm feeling chills but jacket makes me too hot. i have general malaise, fatigued. my parents blame it on my oxycodone and neurontin (gabapentin). are they right?

Not sure: Why you are on the meds but they could cause some chills and sweats.    I would see your doctor and have full work up to make sure all is ok.

Neuropathy: It is important to find the offending cause of the acute neuropathy and stop it. Low B12 levels are often a contributing cause. Other treatment options include compound creams, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, Topamax (topiramate) and Zonegran are other neuropathic pain medicines that may help you. Finally, a trial of spinal cord stimulation may be an effective surgical option as well.

Yes: They have different mechanisms. Your Naproxen dose is a bit steep, don't take it for a long time.

can you take delsym (dextromethorphan) with gabapentin?

Accepted Answer

Yes: But be careful because of the possibility of extra sedation. If you have sleep apnea do not take it unless you use your cpap. Do not operate machinery or drive unless you and someone around you agree that you are alert enough to drive. Watch your step, and be careful not to fall if you are wobbly on you feet at all.
