Be careful: People almost never get seriously sick from taking a few extra T3 (liothyronine) (thyroid) tablets; this is actually fairly common.  The only approach to weight loss that actually works is a combination of (1) realizing the food industry is playing you, and (2) finding some kind of aerobic activity that you actually enjoy & can share with friends / partner. T3 -liothyronine  OD: An overdose occurs when an excessive / dangerous dose of a drug is used. "Headache, irritability, nervousness, tremor, sweating, increased bowel motility and menstrual irregularities. Angina pectoris, arrhythmia, tachycardia, acute myocardial infarction or congestive heart failure may be induced or aggravated. " A massive OD can resemble thyroid storm. i have a tsh level of 5.69.is having a t4 level of 1.1 a good sign? i haven't tested my t3 (liothyronine) yet. what is the probability that it will be normal? advice

You may have sub cli: You may have subclinical hypothyroidism with slightly eleveted TSH  and normal t4, good chances your T3 (liothyronine) will be normal too.

More complicated...: There are many signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism, including fatigue, weight gain, constipation, cold intolerance, depression &amp; more. Total T3 (liothyronine) changes with time in the menstrual cycle &amp; as one enters menopause. FT3 (liothyronine) is better lab, but labs not as accurate as for FT4/T4. T3 (liothyronine) &amp; Free T3 (liothyronine) can go down with other illness you have like depression &amp; asthma if sig. Replacement is not rec &amp; controversial.

am 25 yrs old had hypothyroidism. now it's normal. tsh is 4.2 with t3 (liothyronine) and t4 normal but my skin has lost its elasticity and got signs of ageing. help?

May not be normal: A TSH of 4.2 may still be high in hypothyroidism. One should ask what level of TSH her doctor is aiming for. Some doctors feel that a TSH above 3 or so may be high, even if the lab reference range goes up to 4.5 or so. The skin elasticity has to be compared to one's peers and family members. A primary care doctor, a dermatologist, or a rheumatologist can help decide if there is a problem or not.

Not a lab diagnosis: Multinodular goiter is diagnosed by physical examination and may be imaging studies, not by lab test results. Did you have a physical examination of your thyroid?

iam a 38 year old female with hashimotos and also have nodules. thr nodules have recently grown my tsh level is 0.01 and my t3 is high. is this a sign of cancer...i havent felt well lots of anxiety sweaty especially at night headache pressure tired?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. I have absolutely: No way to tell if you're pregnant. You, on the other hand, can find out by doing an hpt. By the way, your testosterone is mildly elevated and your tsh, while "normal" is not appropriate for age. See an endocrinologist about both. You're probably overweight and Insulin resistant, and may actually have some degree of pcos.

Depends on your: body size, tolerance to meds, previous exposure, etc.  If you are average size and have taken these meds before, it should be ok.  You might want to take half dose first, if you want to make sure.

T3 (liothyronine) is one: Of the thyroid hormones. It cannot be interpreted in a vacuum. Need to know free level, T4 and tsh.
