Of course, one cannot catch a disease from a penis unless said penis has the germ or disease. So, one must decide whether or not said penis has the problem. If thepenis is problem-free, then also no worries.

No usually...: If the folliculitis is promptly treated no scarring expected. But some people have scarring tendency...like Keloid formation. Rather Herpes may be more possibly resemble  folliculitis. Syphilis will produce painless ulcer......which heals on its own. If you are past that stage.....secondary syphilis can produce rash......different than folliculitis. HIV can cause rash....resembling folliculitis
