Elephantiasis: Lymphatic filiarisis is a parasitic infection of the lymph system.  The parasitic worm is spread by mosquito bites in the tropical areas of asia, africa and other places.  The worm blocks the lymph flow which then causes swelling (typically of legs and pelvic areas)
you need to live in infected areas a long time to catch this, tourists are not at risk. It is treated with special medicines.

Possibly: The chi machine helps with meditation and can help you reach the Alpha wavlength.  There are many lymphatic drainage machines available .  We have the triactive laser which is fda approved for lymphatic drainage especially in breast cancer patients that have arm swelling.  Check with the manufacturer and make sure it is fda approved for that use.

Usually mechanical: The commonest reasons for interruption of lymphatic flow are surgical, like lymph node removal for breast cancer. When the lymph nodes are cut out of the underarm area, the lymph channels are cut with them, leaving the arm on that side vulnerable to "lymphedema." this is why women do not have blood drawn on the side where they had a mastectomy. There is no blood test for this.

Not usually: For those with compromise of lymphatic drainage, manual lymphatic drainage moves the lymph fluid around the blocked area and gets it to where it needs to go. The movement of the lymph fluid which may contain bacteria, fungus, viruses or very digested food goes finally to the big blood vessels to be sent to processing areas.  Training probably does not add much movement to already moving lymph.

should women w/endometriosis avoid lymphatic massage? i had it a few times, 2x during period, then read it cld cause to spread. symptoms progresvly worse.

Spread: I have not heard this nor if i read it. I think if it helps you and make you feel better then you should continue doing it. If it makes it worse than stop. I cannot believe there's evidence either way.

Hashimoto's: Hashimoto's disease often leads to hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Unfortunately, symptoms can be vague &amp; nonspecific. Worse, there's wide range of normal. Ask for higher dose then recheck TSH.

Viral infection: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is not a disease of teenager. It is commonly in older population of 60 or older. Acute leukemia is more common than chronic leukemia at your age. In addition to increase lymphocytes,  other things like low red blood, platelet and presence of symptoms (fever, bony pain, fatigue etc)would be seen. Viral infection is way more common -and it'll also increase lymphocyte count.

Doubt it: Would explain by other explanation - infection,viral or other The lymphatic system has enlarged lymph nodes due to the cause of the symptoms
