No: Teething does not cause (hives) body rashes. If they are drooling a lot from teething they may get a drool rash on their cheeks and neck but that is it. Other than diaper rash, if your baby as a rash elsewhere i would have them evaluated by their pediatrician.

Yes: Hiv disease will not prevent pregnancy, but the risk that the baby will be born hiv+ is not eliminated.  It can be minimized with therapy by reducing viral load and prophylaxis during pregnancy can be employed in women who have a measurable viral load, but there are no guarantees.

Usually under 6 wk.: In about 80% of hive cases they resolve within 6 wk. If the hives last longer then about 80% of those cases resolve within 1 yr. Treatment with antihistamines can control the hives until they resolve on their own. Consult your pediatrician to confirm diagnosis and get treatment.

Diet,drug?: Has the baby been exposed to any medications recently? Has the baby had an infection of any kind? These can e causes of hives. If not then you have to put baby on elimination diet of hypoallergenic foods to eliminate possible offending foods. You can work with your pediatrician, allergist or dermatologist to find the cause of hives.Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can help temporarily.

Hives: Red, itchy welts that blanch when pressed on. Can start small and coalesce into large patches....Or simply get bigger and bigger. Main symptom is that they are extremely itchy.

Accepted Answer

Perhaps: Unfortunately, sometimes hives last for decades.  The usual medications like antihistamines (h1 and h2) are first line.  Some patients can have improvement with montelukast and recently the medication Omalizumab injection was shown to help with hives. (it's approved for asthma currently). An allergist can review the list of treatments and find one that may help.  It's frustrating--hang in there!
