See details: It sounds like you are being treated for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).  The infection will clear before the inflammation therefore the ovary or fallopian tube might stay swollen for some time afterwards.  Therefore, if you are clinically cured that is no symptoms and labs are normal, I would not keep treating with antibiotics.  If you still have symptoms, you might need different antibiotics.

i have had lower right pain for about 5 months. i am on the pill and last month received an ultrasound showing swollen right ovary and cysts on my right ovary. they changed my pill and i am still in pain.  should i go back to the doc or wait it out?

Going back now: As pain is no better, then may be time to get recheck of cyst. May need a laparoscopy of other testing as well.

Irregular bleeding : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Breast ovarian  CA: Sometimes breast cancer and ovarian can be inherited. Mom having breast cancer at an age less than 50 can increase chances of breast or ovarian cancer in the daughters . BRCA mutation is famous for  this. As your complaint and the cyst , this needs to be addressed by a gynecologist right away. Ovarian cysts are frequent findings , but  this size is concerning. It can give rise to pain, and nausea

However, if there are solid elements, blood in the wall or if it is associated with pain or loss of blood flow it could be serious. Therefore the ultrasound report neds to be given to your healthcare provider   to determine the significance and precise meaning of the word swelling.

Is this problem getting worse? Is there discharge of any particular color.  I would recommend you visit your physician if this problem continues since it would require a full pelvic examination with a pap smear to better determine the cause.  I would also recommend protection (condoms) in any future sexual encounters unless you are trying to get pregnant.

Get re-examined: No, don't wait! If you are having groin swelling, and discomfort it is important to get re-examined as the inguinal area(groin) is a "hot spot" for swollen lymph nodes from the pelvis.

Probably nothing ser: I doubt if it is anything serious. At this young age, I do not expect any health problems in your reproductive system. Lymph nodes are of no concern unless they are bigger than one inch in sixe and getting bigger. I would not do anything unless you have any symptoms related to your pelvic organs. You should relax and quit worrying.
